  • Cómo se cuenta un cuento by Gabriel García Márquez — a book detailing the discussions at a screenplay writing workshop Márquez gave in Cuba. Although I’ve been able to follow the Spanish pretty well (it’s straightforward, not literary), I found the book to be a bit of a disappointment. In fact, I think it took a bit of Márquez’s magic away, for me. Personally, as far as workshop reading goes, I found Alain Knapp’s A.K. une école de la création théâtrale a much more useful and innovative roadmap to study. (Jan. 4 2008)
